“Like the first book, it had so so much potential to really explore the complete world that the author had built but it really didn’t expand much into the dynamics between cities and kingdoms and focused more on the now rather annoying back and forth pairing of Kai and Paedyn. It was a quick read with a simple plot line and really should’ve dived into the extended world, its complexities, and new characters more. Kitt’s POV also felt like it was simply there to keep us in the loop of what was going on inside the palace. I miss golden boy Kitt, give him the time and space he deserves!!! I’m a firm believer of trust the process and will read the final book when it comes out but I do hope it isn’t rushed to be published (like this book probably was).”Fast-pacedBad writingUnsatisfying plot

“What in the world was that?! In the beginning it was a little slow and It was a back and forth ( quite literally) to Dor and back to Ilya and back to Dor… but then… I couldn’t stop reading. This book swallowed me in whole and I wouldn’t want it any other way! My heart broke several times for both Paedyn and Kai.
