Rath's Rebellion Reviews

3.5
“This series is just plain fun. It almost reads like a TV show or something -- the books themselves are fairly short, but they all contribute to the storyline and build on information from the prequels. I like the fact that there are multiple things going on; each chapter focuses on a different character or group of characters, and events in the plot slowly push those characters toward each other. I continue to enjoy the creativity in how all the contractors make use of their enhanced abilities. Back when I started this series, I worried that element would make the characters unrealistically successful and boring, but it has proved to be more interesting than anything else. I like how much Dasi has grown since the beginning and look forward to seeing how her relationship with Six continues to develop. Paisen's current leadership role suits her perfectly, and that's something I never thought I'd say when she first became a major character back in book 2. And will events at the end of this book force Rath to revert to his old ways, even though he swore he'd never kill again? We'll see!”
