In turn, she has translated more than 200 books into Spanish from other authors, such as the Dr. Seuss series, Curious George, Amelia Bedelia, among others. She has received numerous awards and recognitions in the fields of literature and education— in 2011, she was chosen as one of the 25 most influential women in the Hispanic world by People en español magazine.
