“another bogo monologue collection. i read this in one sitting. this man's brain is such a gloopy gloppy dizzying haunted playground and i jump right in every time. i found myself fully immersed in these monologues. i feel like a broken record when it comes to his work but his characters really do just feel so real! like i've definitely heard all of these guys before on the train to work. this one is a little darker than sex, drugs, rock and roll, dealing more with the overwhelming sense frustration felt by the american man. how everybody gets themselves wired on coffee and they hook themselves up to their car phones and their beepers and their fax machine and they're like... AAAAAAHHHHH! that's how i feel when i wake up and hook myself up on the Microsoft Teams. and i also resonated with the bit where he guy was like i want you to shave my hair off, peel my skin off, wrap me up in rusty razor wire and whip my feet so that maybe i can feel something real for just two or three seconds. so that maybe, just maybe i can CLEAR MY HEAD OF ALL THE NOISE! (pounds head on the floor) i would have killed to see bogosian perform this live and bang his head on the floor. and he also did a cog dog bit in this one too. try not to bark and act like a dog on stage challenge: FAILED. attempt #4 so far. lmao.”
