“You really, really need to set aside the moral implications of the initial premise of a) doing an initial human trial of a sex drug on himself and b) jumping straight to propositioning his lab partner with whom he’s never had anything but a good friendly working relationship with— like yes we know as readers that she has a crush on him but he didn’t know that? A lot of hand waving in the name of science in those first few chapters. There are a lot of wonky things around consent here, especially when she thinks the drugs were switched on him and she doesn’t say anything until after?? Yikes. Also the breakneck speed of jumping straight to Dubcon to I love you to a proposal in a matter of moments…”lholds52
