“General: When discussing Queer history especially for women it is often thought of as non existent. The reality is that queer women have always existed they just simply haven’t had their stories told. Patience and Sarah tells that story. Two anxious girls taking the leap and pursuing something society has deemed impossible. Together they create a possibility. Though they may not have the terms to describe who they are they know what they have is real and worth fighting for. This is the perfect historical sapphic feel good novel that I wish everyone would give a chance!!
Side Note: shoutout to my queer lit prof who introduced this novel to me!! There’s something so pure and beautiful about this novel to me. Genuinely a queer novel that instilled so much pure joy and hope!!”
