Publisher Description

Once, Osgood and Frost were the up-and-coming stars of the burgeoning paranormal investigation TV show craze before a hoax put an end to their friendship, partnership, and television careers. Now, over a decade later, Prudence Osgood is a barely-functioning alcoholic ghosthunter for hire. Her yearning for mystery and adventure is reignited when she receives a cryptic, untraceable email. She can't resist embarking on an investigation that tugs threads winding through a sinister series of disappearances, her former partner's family, and a night twenty years ago when a semi blew a yellow light and nearly killed her.

Reviewers are calling Osgood as Gone "a masterfully vulnerable and relatable 21st Century horror story" and "a bourbon soaked supernatural mystery" with "sparkling dialogue" that "sticks the landing on LGBT+ characters," and main character Prudence Osgood "as tortured as she is clever," "broken in all the best ways," and "a true heroine for our times."

“I got lucky and got an arc of the 4th book in The Spectral Inspector series and because I have to read the first 3 and they look girthy it had me intimidated. This is the first book of the series and the story kept me wanting the investigation to keep going on to find out all the secrets. I absolutely love Zach, Audrey seems like a breath of something fresh and of the past that Os needs. I'm not sure if I really care for Osgood just yet. I got a little annoyed with all the repetition with her character. It felt like almost every chapter the reader is reminded she was queer and in chronic pain. I got that in the first few chapters. I feel for her pain and I get the different types of way to cope with that pain. When I read a story that has to keep reminding me about something over and over it makes it hard to continue a story, luckily this was pretty awesome so i can look past it but I hope the next books in the series aren't as repetitive and that Osgood has some character development”
“I loved this book! It was scary, touching, suspenseful. Besides some minor typos and grammatical errors in my book, which usually drive me mad”
“Rating: 4.5 I'm reading this out of order, I read the third and am finally getting around to reading the first two. I already fell in love with Prudence and all their reckless quirks and habits, so getting to meet Osgood in the first book after encountering them in the third has been nice. Now I understand when the train wreck started. A bit more backstory and what started all this crazy paranormal stuff. This screams urban legend type mystery horror, and I loved every second. Paranormal investigator taken to the extreme! Also, the little artworks throughout the book during pivotal moments just add to the experience. That screaming one...whew. I won't say anything beyond that. If you've read this already, you know the art I'm meaning - and really the written descriptions. I was sucked right into this story from the get go, action hits you in the beginning and keeps going all the way to the end. The writing was solid, the descriptions gave wonderful visuals, and the story itself was both creepy and interesting. That cliffhanger though, whew! I'm glad I have the second book.”
“ARC Review ✨️ ☆An amazingly eerie feeling horror story!☆ First, I wanna start off by saying that this book was so much more than I had anticipated! I was instantly drawn into the story just by the author's writing alone. Osgood As Gone follows the story of a pansexual ghost hunter, who finds herself battling with chronic pain daily and ends up going down a dark path. It's mixed with supernatural, suspense, mysterious, dark humor, and great characters”
“How many pansexual, non-monogamous spectral detectives do you know? I can only think of one and that is Prudence Osgood. I can not rave about this book enough. Or rather just her character even. She's far from perfect with her vices and that's what makes her great. You can relate to her. You easily root for her and all her flaws. The other main characters you get to know are just as perfectly imperfect. And the mystery that brings everyone together is so intricately woven with the smallest of clues that only a seasoned spectral detective could find. It has this gothicy-noir retro feel with some of the clues coming from vinyls and others from old radio shows. This book has me running straight for the second one in the series. You do not want to sleep on this one. Trust me.”
