“DNF at about 30%, which is a pity as this had been on my TBR for well over a decade.
A satirical look at religion (namely Christianity) and how it influences the lives of its devotees. Regretfully I found the characters just a little too bland and the story a bit messy, as I really love the premise.
I'll probably not be in a rush to get rid of this just yet, though. I've been in a spate of not enjoying all the books I've been reading, and this could potentially fall into that pile. I also think my step-mother, who loves Jesus, might get a kick out of this.”

About James Morrow
Born in 1947, James Morrow has been writing fiction ever since he, as a seven-year-old living in the Philadelphia suburbs, dictated “The Story of the Dog Family” to his mother, who dutifully typed it up and bound the pages with yarn. This three-page, six-chapter fantasy is still in the author’s private archives.
