One Stiletto in the Grave

By Jason Krumbine
One Stiletto in the Grave by Jason Krumbine digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

When you have a bug problem, you call an exterminator. When someone skips out on their bail, you call a bounty hunter. And when a dead soul goes renegade, you call a grim reaper.

Avery Graves is your typical type A personality who strives to achieve her best. Her sister, Brooke is…not that. Despite Avery's best efforts, things aren't working out as well for them as they are for the other reapers in town and the sisters find themselves a few dead souls short of making the rent.

While chasing down a soul bounty that might get them out of their pauper's grave and into a mausoleum, things take a turn for the worse when the sisters find themselves at odds with the worst thing possible: The living. Because the only thing worse than a dead soul that refuses to move on, is a living soul that refuses to let go.

“Rating 4.5 stars. RATED R. SUMMARY: When a dead soul goes renegade, you call a grim reaper. And when you’re in Century City, you call the Graves sisters. Avery and Brooke Graves are two of the best reapers in town. For them, hunting down a renegade dead soul is easy, hunting for a good man, however, is a whole ‘nother challenge. Brooke’s ex-boyfriend is back in her life and the heat between them is quickly turning up. After what was supposed to be a simple double homicide at the Kirkland Motel the Graves sisters end up with more than they bargained for. With love on the rocks and souls on the run, it’s just another day for these reapers in heels. REVIEW: I found this book over at Wattpad and had very mixed feelings at first since a lot of GR readers marked this as a rating between 2 and 3 stars. I was a little skeptical but the summary of the book was interesting and I proceed to read. From the very start, the story about 2 sisters that are grim reapers caught my attention and I loved it! Avery and Brooke are completely different in personalities and that's why it's perfect because the author was able to show how they argue throughout the book. Avery is more mature sister who has a loving boyfriend and Brooke is your typical party girl who just wants to have fun. I actually thought that it was funny that Avery always called Brooke a "slut" because of her interest in hot men. But hey, if a girl wants some "d", she's gonna get some "d"! Specially a girl like Brooke! Oh and fun fact about her? She borrowed thirty grand just to buy shoes! Yup, totally imagining her house like this: http://s1358.beta.photobucket.com/user/bebeboss666/media/tumblr_mikyf4mKQA1s3p5jpo1_500_zpsa5f20332.jpg.html JEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALOUUUSSSSSSSSSS!!! I also really liked the story line. The sisters pick up another assignment to capture 3 souls from a murder which claims to be a drug-deal-gone-wrong. But what they find out completely shocks them. Oh and the supposed-to-dead accountant that's walking around with half of his head blown off? Yeaa, talk about a possible zombie outbreak! So overall the story was great and a very fast read. I wouldn't suggest anyone reading younger than 17 because of some sex scenes. They are not graphic but there are a lot of direct hints that if you're not used to them, they might be a little different. I'm going on the hunt for the second book and hoping to see them get along more hehe http://s1358.beta.photobucket.com/user/bebeboss666/media/tumblr_mikrvnWgHH1s39qugo1_500_zpscaaf094d.gif.html”
