“I loved this book. Loved the Irish island and the beautiful group of women. Would have been five stars but the ending just wasn’t satisfying enough for me :/”

“This was incredibly sweet! Mack and Cleo were perfect leads, although I did roll my eyes a little at Cleo for the “self-coupling” of it all, and her disdain for turning 30 while single was a little much (until you learn there’s more to that than meets the eye).
But along with an engaging and fun romance (with very believable and moving backstories for the leads), Josie also creates such a lovely island setting and community. And her writing I thought was so strong! Some lines made me stop in appreciation. She continues to be one of my favorite romance authors.”

“To say I loved this book would be a huge understatement! This book was the best combination of cozy, romantic, and hopeful.
I loved Josie Silver’s other books and had a hunch this one would be great but I was not expecting to be completely swept away to Salvation Island and immersed within this tight knit community.
I love how Cleo and Mack started off as annoyed with each other strangers, to civil roommates, to friends on holiday, to… more. The evolution of their relationship was set at the perfect pace, like watching the sun slowly dip under the horizon waiting for the stars to come out and when the stars are out in full display, it’s a magical experience.
What made this story for me was Cleo’s growth throughout the novel. I love witnessing her trepidation early on and seeing how she made the most of a challenging situation. Cleo made friends in an unlikely place, found a holiday “snow globe” romance when she least expected it, all while reinventing herself to become the woman she always inspired to be.”

“A cliche meet-cute beginning morphed into an unexpected plot that just kept getting better with every page. I love a book that can make me pause to process emotions. I evenly liked the two perspectives and how they mingled together like the characters did in the story. It also touched on some difficult situations that affect all types of people such as marital problems, loss, passions, career choices, and how to know what you need/want out of life itself.
This story came at a perfect time in my life so I may be biased in my review, but I promise the book holds up to the praise.
As I approach turning 30, this book will be a sliver in my heart and remind me to embrace life and the waves that come and go because of it. Truly enjoyable read.”

“I’m always worried when you start a book with someone already in a serious relationship.. but this turned out ok.. a really sweet read, that made me want to immediately pack up my belongings and move to an idyllic small community island and read and knit and watch dolphins & otters for the rest of my days”
