“As the daughter of a firefighter and as someone who has always been interested in the stories of the men and women who serve their communities, I rather enjoyed reading this book. It’s raw and honest, there’s things that in today’s age would never be okay but that’s just how it was at the time.
The way he wrote the memoir was a bit disjointed but there was almost always something interesting to focus on, a few times it was a “let me get through this moment” but overall it was very good.”
