“I hope someone nominated this for next year's children choice awards! I Just found it and read it and missed the deadline for nominating it myself. I cannot wait to read it to the kids. I don't care if I can't think how I would use it toward their scholarly benefit other than find as many similar cautionary tales to compare it to - none as genius since Wallace Tripp - This books will make you laugh. It might make you want to bake a pink unicorn cake. Send your Aunt a thank you card if you haven't already. She means well.
I nominated it for this year's WCCPBA and it did not make the cut. Am I the only one who sees how truly funny this book is. It just arrived at my library this month (seriously - donate new books to school libraries). I have since read it out loud to several of my students and they all cringe-laugh at the impossibility of it all.
Just to prove my love for this book: I read it on picture day, so only the kids I saw that day had the treat. It was a treat for me since I was kicked out of the library by the photographers. So I cancelled learning and focused on fun. The greatest part was when my boss walked in, I still do not know why, but whatever business he had was postponed until the end of the story.”

“I love author Adam Rex and the way he seems to tap in perfectly to a child's brain! This story is bizarre, funny, relatable, and downright silly. My kids and I laughed the whole way through! I can't wait to use this in a story time. Really fun!”
