“3.5✨️ the horse DD is great, loved all those interactions. Also liked that the whole race scène was pretty prevalent. You really saw the progress. I got pretty attached to the side characters Violet and Mira. They brought A LOT to the story. Hank is such a sweetheart, love him.
Didn't love the main characters though. I find Voughn kind of selfish and naive. Really enjoyed the scenes where his brother takes him down a peg. Also didn't really take to Billie. She had her moments but she was really repetitive.
The spice was oké. It started at weird moments, especially at the beginning. I also think that their whole relationship revolved around the spice. After the third act conflict the only thing it seemed they missed was the spice. I also didn't really get those moments where I get attached to the characters individually and as a couple.
But I am excited for the next books, as I connected a lot more with the side characters.”
