Wow! When I think of all the times together with John, probably the one event that stands out the most, would be the time John arrived late at night with his little trailer loaded with stacks of oak lumber cut from his property. The next morning we started planning and gluing pieces together, based on a small piece of paper with a myriad of measurements on it, that only he could understand. Two or three days later those pieces of lumber became beautiful oak cupboards for Laura’s kitchen. Oh!, And all the while in his spare moments in the evening, he worked on his laptop, keeping up with everyday contacts around the world!
