Even before her father’s death, Kelly Everhart always knew Logan Teller was someone she could rely on. Now he’s taken over the Black Rabbit tattoo shop and brought her along with him. And while Kelly still finds her former crush and current mentor hot as hell, they’re firmly in the friendzone. Or so she thinks . . .
Logan’s been biding his time, but he’s no longer leaving anything to chance―not since Kelly started getting serious with her boring boyfriend. And as Logan manipulates the situation and sabotages the couple every chance he gets, Kelly starts to notice all the ways her Jason doesn’t quite measure up to the man who’s always been such a huge part of her life.
When her relationship with Logan suddenly goes from playful and platonic to strictly sinful, Kelly can’t stop herself from falling head over heels. But just as things are heating up between them, she starts receiving anonymous messages with information only a few―including Logan―could possibly know about her. Can she trust him after all?

“I felt this one was overhyped to be honest 🤷♀️
Now, that I’m no way means I hated it. There were lots of moments I very much enjoyed, I mean Logan’s gift for her birthday 😍😍😍 Seriously? Amazing and holy freakin’ balls would I love something like that ❤️❤️
The main issue I had with this one was the complete lack of logic both in some of the character’s actions/thoughts and plot. Like girl, the guy is throwing himself at you and you still hmmmed and hawed, doing the whole “I somehow don’t seem to understand what’s going on in front of me and don’t know if he likes me” trope for way too long. It would have made way more sense that she realized it and went “meh I put myself out there before, was shot down so if he wants to be more, he’s gonna make it happen” the delay could have still been there for plot purchases but would have made her seem strong and independent instead of stupid.
Also Jason just being hired?? Ya, that shit doesn’t even make sense. I was down with the whole Piper of it all but that made zero sense. Why would he give a shit when she dumped him then? Why would he go try to win her back and get pissed at Logan? If he was just hired, that whole interaction made no sense or their fight. I get wanting plot twists for story purposes but make it make sense.
Personally I loved Logan’s obsessiveness and like I said, did like a lot about this book and am definitely interested in the others, I just didn’t like Kelly and that was due to the writing.
Overall it was a good read, had ups and downs, lots of steamy bits with memorable side characters.”
