Odin's Ravens
ByPublisher Description
When thirteen-year-olds Matt Thorsen and Fen and Laurie Brekke, modern-day descendants of Thor and Loki, discovered they were fated to take the places of the Norse gods in an epic battle against the apocalypse, they thought they knew how things would play out. Gather the descendants standing in for the gods, defeat a giant serpent, and save the world. No problem, right?
But the descendants' journey grinds to a halt when their friend and descendant Baldwin is poisoned and killed and Matt, Fen, and Laurie must travel to the Underworld in the hopes of saving him. That's only their first stop on their journey to reunite the challengers, find Thor's hammer, and save humanity--a journey filled with enough tooth-and-nail battles and colossal monsters to make Matt and his friends a legend in their own right.
Perfect for fans of ancient myths and filled with young heroes, monstrous beasts, and godly enemies, this fast-paced adventure is impossible to put down.

“This book read like an action movie from page one, and I’m not sure it was a well-thought-out action movie if I’m perfectly honest. Beginning and ending with its zombie fights to save the world, we get so many plot twists and new characters in the mixture it leaves you befuddled by one scene as you’re already in the other. I could almost hear the soundtrack that this book wanted to be paired with as I read through the several major fight scenes. Also, admittedly deeply perplexed by the ending—in a world where these kids are deciding their own story informed by myth, how does someone get forced into a fate they don’t want or don’t plan to have? We clearly broke the rules of Fate and Destined Narrative in both book one and book two, so why is it at the very end of this book that Destiny suddenly decides to land a decisive right hook and alter the trajectory of a character’s life?
Will be continuing to book three to see how they can clean up this mess.”
“The 2nd book in the series, I just love the evolution of the characters and story. The motley crew assembles to fave ragnarok but will they overcome their suspicions, jealousy and mistrust of each other? You guys gotta read this.”
