“Llosa’s lament of spectacle and the degradation of culture (literature specially). Well written and provocative. A devout centrist and agnostic, he has a interesting and nuanced view on religious tolerance and democracy.
He questions the advent of e-readers and the possible demise of writers intuition left to “navigating the net morning to night.” Maybe not so, as I read his wonderful book free and on a kindle.”
