“As a nurse, the medical complexities of Jet’s injury were too complex for me to fully enjoy this book. There’s no way she would walk out of the hospital after an attack like that. I wish I could turn that part of my brain off but I can’t. I also LOATHED the narrator of the audiobook. The voice she did for Billy almost made my ears bleed. I will not listen to anything by her again. HJ is a phenomenal writer and I’ve enjoyed all of her books. Even though I have beefs with this book, I did overall still enjoy many parts. The characters were complex and it did keep me guessing as to who killed Jet until almost the end. I will read more from HJ, this was just my least favorite so far.”
