“This collection blends horror with deep emotional exploration. The stories are both creepy and unsettling, with moments that linger long after reading. Ballingrud's writing captures a raw, haunting sadness, exploring themes of isolation, regret, and the complexities of human relationships. At times heavy and intense, the collection is a mix of dark, eerie moments and subtle, tender reflections. While it left me with a lot to digest, I think I liked it, though it’s a work that requires some contemplation to fully appreciate.”
