“4.5 stars* Fast paced with plenty of action, No Safe Place was a rather quick read for me. I finished the whole book in just two sittings and in less than a day. It quickly grasped my attention and held me until the end. Something I wasn’t expecting about the story was that it really wasn’t about figuring out the details of the money-laundering scheme. It was about Corbin and Beth’s time on the run trying to escape a group of dangerous men while waiting for information to be received by the FBI. It was more about the chase than the actual crime. I thought it was rather interesting how the author wove it all together. My only complaint with this book has nothing to do with the story itself, but the formatting of the print. The margins down the center were too small and it made the book uncomfortable to try to hold open after a while. It was difficult to read the words closest to the binding. (I attached an image so you can see what I mean). Normally I would be someone to strongly proclaim my love for print books over e-books, but this one I can honestly say I’d rather have dealt with the e-book. I really enjoyed this story and thought it was an intriguing, fast-paced read. I’d easily recommend it to fans of suspense. I don’t believe I’ve read any other books by the author before, but I would certainly be interested in reading more from her in the future. *I received a copy of this book through Prism Book Tours. “What fun! No Safe Place by Sherri Shackelford gives readers a quick, suspenseful (and romantic!) read, and I quite enjoyed it. Forensic accountant (yay!) Beth Greenwood uncovers some dangerous corporate information and must run for her life. Her Superman-esque coworker Corbin Ross ends up along for the ride, but the pair must stay suspicious—including of one another. Costly secrets, imposing mercenaries, and a mysterious email keep the thrill alive as Beth and Corbin handle the complicated situation, especially after their feelings become involved. An exciting and fast-paced story, No Safe Place is a great choice for the reader of romantic suspense. I recommend adding it to your TBR today! This review is also posted on https://pagebypagebookbybook.blogspot.com/2019/01/no-safe-place-book-review.html . Thanks to Prism Book Tours, I received a complimentary copy of No Safe Place and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.
