“A MUST READ. The shortcoming of so many visionary political and activist books is that they don’t offer practical examples and things to do to move forward with the idea they’re presenting. This is not that book. Mariame and Andrea both offer many examples - some of them from their personal experiences - of how we can proceed to abolish the police, which is really helpful to those who might be new to the world of abolitionist organizing when they read this.
One of my favorite quotes is in this: “No one enters violence for the first time by committing it.” 😮💨”
