“Great commentary on non traditional families; Frustrating character decision making, but great resolutions at the end of the novel”

“I enjoyed this book. I really liked the characters. I appreciated how they were diverse and each added to the story. I especially enjoyed the side characters like the grandparents, Leo, and Kat's friends. I did feel the storyline was kind of generic but it was still enjoyable and satisfying. There were times where I thought something was going to happen and it didn't but there were also times where I thought something would happen and it did. I really liked how Kat grew a lot as a person through the story. I also liked how not everything ended up perfectly for Kat and the characters didn't automatically forgive her. I appreciate how everything was covered and no ends were really left untied. I liked how Kat didn't end up with Elena even though l liked her as a character. It made the book feel more authentic and realistic.
