Never Forget
ByPublisher Description
In the town of Yport, during a run along Europe's tallest cliff, Jamal notices a red scarf hanging on a fence. Then he sees the woman, her dress torn, her back to the void, her eyes fixed on his own. Jamal holds the scarf out to her like a buoy.
A few seconds later, the stranger's lifeless body is found lying on the icy pebbles of the empty beach below. Around her neck, the red scarf.
Everyone thinks he pushed her. He only wanted to save her. That's Jamal's version. Do you believe it?

“While meandering through the narrative of "Never Forget" by Michel Bussi, I found myself engrossed at first, drawn in by the deftly crafted suspense and the intricate lives of the residents of the small coastal town of Yport. The book introduces us to Jamal Salaoui, an avid marathon runner with a gripping backstory. The beginning paces itself beautifully, akin to the rhythmic strides of a seasoned runner, seamlessly blending mystery and character development.
However, as I delved deeper into the tale, the initially intriguing plot seemed to stumble. The layers of mystery that unfolded in the charming streets and cliffs took on an unexpected weight. Details became abundant and tangential, almost as if Bussi was trying to stretch the suspense a bit too far. I was reminded of the eloquent narrative path with phrases such as, "As the ocean whispers its secrets to those who dare to listen...", capturing the enigmatic vibe present throughout the novel.
Despite this, Jamal's relentless quest for truth kept me tethered, particularly when pivotal moments are revealed about the true nature of the events.”
