“This was atmospheric & lush. It kind of gives off haunting of hill house vibes but with a ghosty ghost who can seriously banter. I was living for their tense and charged exchanges.
This has minimal world building. It's an isolated setting.
Kind of a gothic thriller mystery romance. We basically spend the entirety of the book in the castle.
It's very relationship driven. The plot is discovering how to break the curse and the development of their romance. And I was here for it.
It's the kind of book that is perfect for a slow and quiet afternoon alone or a foggy and dreary fall day. It found me at just the right time to really appreciate it. And I can't wait to read more from this author!”
