“"The greatest legacy you can pass on to your children and grandchildren is not your money or the other material things you have accumulated in life. The greatest legacy you can pass on to them is the legacy of your character and your faith."
This book was part of Billy Graham's commitment to finish well and leave a rich spiritual legacy for coming generations. He offers reflections on a range of issues connected with older age, health, grief, and retirement - he includes personal experiences, biblical examples and some practical advice too. It's a valuable book for showing an example of godly priorities in older age, and encouraging people to keep growing in Christ and keep serving with whatever opportunities and strength the Lord provides. I also enjoyed his comments on Barzillai, an older man in the Bible I'd never really thought about before!
I was hoping that this book would be closer to a memoir, and be a bit more personal - I think that would have made for a more powerful read, but this is still a helpful read.”
