“This one took me such a long time to read! It’s my first one from Handke. What kept me going was the language, especially the nature descriptions, which were just so beautifully written. Parts of it was like reading mindfulness, if that makes sense? The plot was a bit all over the place, which was fun at times and I guess part of the point, but it took away a lot of the "drive" to keep me reading. However, I did love how funny and absurd, even satirical, the characters were at times, and how comedic! That was not something I expected when starting this”About Peter Handke
