“If you're one who believes the (negative) misconceptions about indie books, this one will set you straight. Full of themes which highlight loyalty, love, friendship, romance, betrayal, racial discrimination, legacies and traditions, My Blood Runs Crimson is packed with all the elements that make a great book. Written in multiple(3) 1st person POV, a task not easily perfected, the author has successfully delivered a story that is intriguing, fun, sexy and with a bit of suspense.
Writing in 1st person POV can be challenging as it can come across as more scripted to the reader. Though, Perrie Patterson has skillfully used the advantage of this type of POV to engage her readers so you are right there in the story, experiencing a thrilling intimacy with the characters. And by using multiple POVs, readers are not limited in perspective, yet at the same time, there is an underlying suspense in the book. I find this to be brilliant writing!
Readers are going to fall in love with Bex, Lane and Sawyer. And if you're looking for a new book-boyfriend, you'll find two in this story!!!
My only regret when it comes to this book, is that I didn't start reading it sooner.”
