“I liked this book a lot. 🤩 Like most of the things I’ve read by Grady Hendrix, the setting was totally immersive — in this book it’s set in the late 80s and the descriptions and language were spot on and super nostalgic. It def had an 80s horror vibe at times. The protagonist was misunderstood and mistreated by a lot of the people around her, and it was frustrating to feel those things on her behalf, but I think there is a really good message here: sometimes the right choices are the hardest, and sometimes, the “good guy” doesn’t win. (Although I did like the small bit of redemption and understanding that the main character experienced as Hendrix closed the book out.) Overall, definitely worth the read. I really couldn’t put it down. 💖✨”

“I watch the movie before reading this and I have to say….book is way better!
Seriously become one of my fav authors, Hendrix encapsulates a haunted 80s possession story perfectly. Mixing real world aspects with supernatural occurrences.
And the ending, I cried.
It’s becoming a fav thing, his endings, he neatly sums up everything that happens with the characters. How they move on with their lives after these events.
Abby and Gretchen go through a lot, but in the end they are together.”
