“Overall, this was a great continuation of the Merry Muffin Mystery series. I really enjoyed the fact that the murder location wasn't held at the Wynter Castle, so it was a nice trade. The murder of the disliked resident of Autumn Vale, Minnie, definitely brought a lot of attention to who could have killed her. The setting was quaint and cozy as always in the small town of Autumn Vale. Friendship felt really tested in this novel as Shilo, one of Merry's best friends, and Emerald, someone who Merry was helping get back on her feet, were withdrawn and unwilling to connect with her. This was definitely a better sequel to the previous book in the series.”
