“I get the criticism of these books for not including queer people. But also, this series has a cool magic system, great geopolitics, and complex female main characters. It is most things I long for in a fantasy series”

Jenna Glass made her foray into epic fantasy with The Women's War, but she wrote her first book—an “autobiography”—when she was in the fifth grade.
