“I really love Richard Russo but this one was a struggle. I was heavily confused in parts. Felt there were a lot of plot points that were never resolved, never explained or just kind of… there. And then it was just kind of the end? There were a lot of hallmarks of a Richard Russo story, but this one just didn’t quite get there.”

“Richard Russo is an amazing author. I’ve read several of his wonderful books, but to know this was his first? Amazing. A great plot full of characters you relate to and sympathize with. Overall a FANTASTIC read. High recommend:”

About Richard Russo
RICHARD RUSSO is the author of nine novels, most recently Chances Are..., Everybody’s Fool and That Old Cape Magic; two collections of stories; and the memoir Elsewhere. In 2002 he received the Pulitzer Prize for Empire Falls, which, like Nobody’s Fool, was adapted into a multiple-award-winning miniseries; in 2017, he received France’s Grand Prix de Littérature Américaine. He lives in Portland, Maine.
