“Midnight seems like it would be cosy to live in if you just accept vampires psychics witches and other supernatural beings as neighbours
I watched like 3 of tv tv show and decided I wanted to read the trilogy first. And as usual they’re both completely different 😂
I have read all the true bloods and would say that Charlaine Harris is one of my favourite authors. I was a nice world build and even though it’s very slow paced I was absolutely hooked from the beginning and can’t wait to jump back into this world with the next two in the series. Then I’ll give the show a watch even though it was cancelled haha!
Overall a really good read I love small towns with a community that looks out for each other and I love everyone

“I enjoy this author; but I was hoping for a similar book of sookie stackhouse series. However, my rating still appropriate.
This novel did have the depth of character and plot development; the vampire that survives on blood but the twist is also on “energy”, a witch, mind reader and an adorable cat who speaks and has a sense of humor. Of course Connor who is the is described as a "psycho" preteen but in reality he is suffering from mental disorders, etc.
Thus is the 1st book on this trilogy series and can’t wait to see what character developments come forth; especially the Reverend and others. This novel is slow pace definitely a “palette cleanser “ from reading BLOOD and ASH series ……”
