Mercy Kill: Star Wars Legends (Wraith Squadron)
ByPublisher Description
Wraith Squadron soars back into action, on a full-throttle mission to match wits and weapons with an Imperial General gone rogue.
Wraith Squadron: The elite X-wing unit of rogues and misfits who became legends of the Rebellion, specializing in carrying out the most dangerous and daring operations before breaking up and going their separate ways. A powerful general in the Galactic Alliance Army, once renowned for his valor, is suspected of participating in a conspiracy that nearly succeeded in toppling the Alliance back into the merciless hands of the Empire. “The final book in the X-Wing series, and it's a Wraith Squadron furball featuring a multi-generational cast and at least one cameo...
As with Starfighters of Adumar I'd put this off, but I'm very glad I finally read it. A handful of nods to the earlier trilogies aside this novel actually tackles one of the plot threads begun in the Abeloth story arc and does so in a rather fun - and surprisingly emotional - manner.”

“Really enjoyed the book. I am a huge fan of the X-Wing series and Aaron Allston's books and it was great to see some of and to paraphrase Face "the band back together". I really enjoyed reading the viewpoint of Piggy and his reminisces about his time in the Wraiths and his leaving. The plot is great and the introduction of new characters and tying up a lose end from Fate of the Jedi is great. I can only hope the books continue”
