“overall, this was funny as all hell, but some essays weren't as successful as others”

“I can tell that Samantha Irby has a hilarious voice, and some of the essays in here made me laugh out loud. However, this collection needed to be edited down in my opinion, and the tone wasn’t super consistent throughout. I definitely want to read her two newer collections though, as I have a feeling that they’ll be sharper than this one.”
