Publisher Description

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us and It Ends with Us comes a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance.

At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.

Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes“Great story. Really appreciated the way she wrote about the impact of hearing impairments/deafness on daily living. Like some of her other books, I feel a slight disconnect to the characters ages (feel 22 is too young) and was kind of turned off by questionable gender-related descriptions.”

Slightly Smiling Face“Keep coming back to it. One of my favorites even with the glaring negatives of the book. Seems to be a theme with Colleen Hoover.”

Slightly Smiling Face“This book sucked me in from the beginning. I was a little apprehensive about the main story line at the beginning but as I got further into the book I loved it. My emotions were on a rollercoaster ride right until the end”

Thinking Face“A decent read. The first few chapters were great, but that was about it. It felt almost too predictable and not much character development, especially with the female protagonist. She cried in almost every chapter, felt sorry for herself, but didn’t do anything to better the situation or her morals. The male protagonist was even worse. I love romance books just as much as the next person, but it felt like it was normalizing adultery and hypocrisy.”
Slightly Smiling Face“One of my top fave series from Colleen Hoover”
