Publisher Description

From Olivie Blake, the New York Times bestselling author of The Atlas Six comes Masters of Death, a story about vampires, ghosts, and death itself!

Viola Marek is a struggling real estate agent, and a vampire. But her biggest problem currently is that the house she needs to sell is haunted. The ghost haunting the house has been murdered, and until he can solve the mystery of how he died, he refuses to move on.

Fox D’Mora is a medium, and though is also most-definitely a shameless fraud, he isn’t entirely without his uses—seeing as he’s actually the godson of Death.

When Viola seeks out Fox to help her with her ghost-infested mansion, he becomes inextricably involved in a quest that neither he nor Vi expects (or wants). But with the help of an unruly poltergeist, a demonic personal trainer, a sharp-voiced angel, a love-stricken reaper, and a few high-functioning creatures, Vi and Fox soon discover the difference between a mysterious lost love and an annoying dead body isn’t nearly as distinct as they thought.

Thinking Face“"Masters of Death" by Olivie Blake is an extraordinary book that took me by surprise. As a first-time reader of Blake's work, I was surprised by the depth and brilliance of this book. It prompted me to appreciate my mortality and find beauty in the inevitable endings of life. Blake's impeccable writing captivated me, leaving me in awe. I rate it 5/5 stars!”

Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes“I fell in love with this book! It was funny and had me on the edge of my seat! I do feel like the relationships were a tad rushed by the end but that could just be me wishing for more Vi and Tom on screen time. I loved them and they cracked me up. The writing was per Olivie Blake's normal, beautiful. I couldn't stop reading this book!”

“this was so good i absolutely LOVED the non-linear timeline and the 'interludes' were so interesting. actually obsessed with how olivie blake writes characters and relationships”
“I expected this book to be something great. Something that I’d really love. And I was not mistaken. This book was a lot. Like so many different storylines and converging tales, I don’t usually enjoy that in books these days but the story was so unique and I just truly truly adored it. The world building was intense and I think that’s where Olivia Blake got me. A haunted house and a vampire real estate agent. A fake medium who is the god son of death. The way the immortal world functioned. If you are someone who likes complicated books this is for you! There’s so much going on but it’s so worth it.”
