““Maria the Wanted” had its moments. Personally, I prefer prose that is more “show” don’t “tell,” and this one is more of the latter. The author takes big liberties with Christian orthodoxy and makes the vampiric a part of the Almighty’s big plan. There were some moments with Lucifer that surprised me-I won’t ruin it but they definitely were bold, dangerous choices for the protagonist, Maria. This book reads like an allegory of sorts, although I think some of the intentions of that allegory were either vague or perhaps went over my head. I would recommend this book to fans of dark romance who are looking for a quick read that it is a little outside the books typically in that genre.”
