“I picked this up randomly with no recommendation hoping it would be a quick, enjoyable historical romance. But the narration was so repetitive, the characters had no depth, and I was so uninvested in the story that it took me a month to read the last twenty pages. I'm not sure what I expected, but maybe this cured me of my weakness for fluff books for a little while.”
