“Second time reading this series and I can’t tell if I love it more.
The witty banter, the scope of the fantasy world building, and the integration of so many different fantasy styles. Either a battle between magic and tech - this book had it all.
It builds you up, has you anxious in moments needing to continue reading to find out what happens next, and has you giggling in others at the witty and sarcastic nature of Kate the FMC and the situations she can find herself in.
Kate as a mercenary with an aversion to authority, kicks butt and has a sharp,witty tongue that has you chuckling. She seems to always find herself in sticky situations and at times has a total lack of self preservation.
The introduction to the shapechangers, the super broody and I’d say fairly sexy Beast Lord, the People (vamps and their pilots - you’ll understand when you read the book), and more, has you going on an adventure.
