“🩸🦇 Book Review: Loving a Vampire Is Total Chaos by Aura Hayes 🦇
First of all… the person who recommended this to me absolutely knew what they were doing 😂 and of course she loved this book because the MMC is a fucking DICK and honestly? I get it now because this man was entertaining as hell. Unhinged, chaotic, annoying in the best way possible, and somehow still lovable despite all the red flags waving directly in my face 🚩🖤
This story follows a human FMC who gets tangled up with a dangerous vampire MMC and quickly finds herself pulled into a world full of chaos, violence, tension, banter, and dark supernatural drama. The vibes were dark romantasy with humor sprinkled all throughout, which honestly made this such a fun time for me.
One of my FAVORITE parts was the banter between the MMC and Ava, the FMC’s best friend. Their dynamic had me laughing multiple times and now knowing Ava is the FMC in the second standalone?? Yeah… I’m EXTREMELY tempted to immediately pick it up 👀📚 I know I have a dedicated TBR I’m trying to follow but I just might say fuck it and read it anyway because this was FUN.
I really loved how unserious this book could be while still giving dark romance energy. The MMC’s behavior and antics had me entertained the entire time. This is the kind of dark romance I can absolutely get behind. I’m a little worried the next couple in the series might be way too serious for my taste, but hopefully I’m wrong because I’d love more of this chaotic energy. There was also lots of back-and-forth banter between the FMC and the MMC that was enjoyable too.
