Love Me, Love Me Not Reviews

“This is a compilation of 7 short YA dark romance stories. I loved them, they were well-written and the characters had great chemistry. I'd totally recommend it if dark romance is your kind of book genre. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.”
“This YA anthology consists of 7 short stories all with a bully to lover trope. It explores the theme of love and forgiveness amidst adversity, particularly focusing on loving one's bully. Despite the pain inflicted, there is a recognition of potential redeeming qualities in the bully, prompting the victim to consider offering their heart despite the risks involved. The stories within the book encompass various relationship dynamics, including MM, MF, and FF which contributes to a rich exploration of love, forgiveness, and human connection. Out of the 7 short stories, I found "The God Note" and "Love Lies Bleeding" to be the most intriguing and meaningful. The God Note is heart-wrenching, as it explores the suffering that orphans endure and the hope that they find within each other. Love Lies Bleeding also pulled at my heartstrings as it navigates toxic family dynamics and the effects of an alcoholic parent. "Between Us" and "Scars That Heal" focus on the difficulties the LGBTQ+ community face. I loved most of these short stories, as they all offered hope and proved that love can conquer all if you just let your guard down. I wasn't a fan of "Stolen Skies." It had a sci-fi element to it and that's just not my cup of tea. I didn't even finish that one cuz it had me rolling my eyes several times, so I just skipped to the next one. All of these short stories could easily be standalone books that I would read, but for being short stories, they provide plenty of detail and are quick and easy reads.”
“As is often the case with short story collections I enjoyed some more than others. I definitely wish a few of them were longer. A couple I didn't connect with but I enjoyed more than I didn't. My favourite was probably scars that heal . I received a copy from book sirens and I leave this honest review voluntarily I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.”

“The stories were good but way too short. I liked the plots but I wish there was more character and relationship building. My personal favorite was The God Note. It caught me by surprise but again I needed morechapters! It was event after event. There was no in between. I felt bad for them and wanted to give them a hug but it was so fast paced that I didn't have time to connect with the characters. It would definitely be 5 stars if there was more chapters and explanation on the events.”
