“Very cute, and was the absolutely perfect light read after finishing a long fantasy book. The plot was there but a little lackluster. I was waiting for something a little bigger or dramatic to happen and it never did. Which, again, is fine for a light read and what I needed now but I do wish there was a little more substance. I did really love the characters though, the setting, and the premise of the story.”“I really enjoyed this second chance romance (one of my favorite tropes)! Gemma and Celeste were adorable and their reconnecting after many years felt realistic.
Great use of the San Francisco setting and the work storyline was excellent as well. A great read!”
“I really enjoyed this book and the plot. Céleste and Gemma have my heart, and the project they did in the book was so wholesome 😭
Their backstory and such was so in depth, and you could feel how much they mean to each other and how much they want each other. The sex scenes were good, I felt them to be a little rushed, just like some parts of their scenes and the ending, which I feel could’ve been extended.
On another note, James is a dick, and I hope he rots for cheating on Gemma.
