“I loved the 3 stories based around the peacock pendant in this book, often missing the last story when starting the new one and quickly immersing myself in the next. The characters are extremely nuanced and divert from typical book characters. It's also really nice having inserted the Jewish history in this book which is highly informative and also gives more nuance to the characters and overall story. However I do think that some of the romantic/sexual aspects of the book could've been done without. I do also wonder what these short stories would be as full length books, and I although I don't personally think this, I'm sure if it was the case, other people wouldn't think of the stories as rushed, especially the ending.”
