“This one deals with really tough topic (child sexual abuse) so keep that in mind if you plan on reading it. It doesn't get quite that far, but it's still very clear it could and would happen had the character not opened the door. I really liked the way this was handled, and felt it made one of the more compelling backgrounds for a Wayward Children character.
That said, while I normally obsess over the portal worlds the characters travel to, this one didn't do as much for me. I liked the message of this one (clearer than usual imo), but the portal world itself was far less interesting than I feel it could have been. Usually they're lots more detailed and otherworldly.
But nonetheless, a solid Wayward Children installment!”
