“This book had most of the typical things you expect and enjoy from a crime thriller novel.
Background story, a killer on the loose, a senior detective investigator with secrets of her own and enough characters that make you think you could have worked out the ending/who dunnit. Only you’d be wrong.
I never saw that ending coming. I have to admit I enjoyed the book instantly but the ending let it down for me. It just seemed a bit too far fetched and it kind of leaves you on a cliff hanger. There is a book following on from this one but I don’t think I will be reading it. That ending just left me a bit frustrated and not really wanting more from the next book.”
“This is book 5 of Helen Grace series and again as every other in this series i was hooked from page 1. Short snappy chapters each one ending making you want to read more. Ive come to the conclusion that one more chapter doesnt exist with M.J.Arlidge books as your that invested before you know it that one more chapter has become the whole book 🙈. This one though left me hanging and need to read next one asap.
