“Half-sisters separated for years and then separated by Leah's death creates the perfect set-up for this romantic suspense novel. Someone killed Leah and wants her sister Madison dead as well. Hight school sweetheart turned Canadian police constable, Tucker Reed, finds himself attempting to protect Madison while dealing with a pharmaceutical company's attempt to distribute tainted drugs. With Leah's father involved in forcing the investigators to solve Leah's murder, Madison and Tyler both find themselves attempting to move on from their younger days.
Twists, turns, and suspense kept me reading this book. The desire of Leah, even after her death, to see her younger sister open her heart to God creates a powerful message of God's desire to win our hearts and souls to Him.
I thought I knew who was being the tainted drugs from the beginning, but then the author kept me guessing until the very end to know the truth. The storyline satisfied my need to be engaged in the story. I loved how some things came to light that made me experience a range of emotions as well.
I appreciated the ending of this book and how the author took time to get to the ending. So if you enjoy romantic mysteries, check out this book for yourself.
