Publisher Description

Seeker: As societies grow increasingly fragmented, hopelessness, nihilism, and division are on the rise. But there is another way—a way of mystery and magic, of wholeness and transformation. Do you dare take the first step? Our path is not for the faint-hearted, but for seekers of ancient truths.

All April wants is to start over after her husband's sudden death. She's conjuring a new path—finally getting her degree and planning her new business in bucolic Pennsylvania Dutch country. Joining an online mystery school seems like harmless fun.

But when a murdered man leaves her a cryptic message, she catches glimpses of another reality she's unwilling to acknowledge. A reality where bygone enchantments cast cryptic shadows, and the present brims with unanswered questions.

As April works to unearth the mystery, every step brings her closer to a truth she's been evading. And to a conspiracy of hexes that may end in her demise.

Legacy of the Witch is a spellbinding, interactive tale of a woman's midlife quest to understand the complexities of her own heart. A paranormal murder mystery for anyone who's wondered if there might be more to their own life than meets the eye…

Slightly Smiling Face“i actually really loved this book! it had a medium pace but the ending seemed a little rushed. but i am a HUGE fantasy fan and this just had so much work put into it like there was so much research done and there’s interactives throughout the book as well and it was just such an amazing experience! don’t mind my horrible grammar and whatnot in this, it’s 3:30am rn and im too tired to care but i just had to finish the book 😭😂”
Thumbs Up“This book had me conflicted. I liked the interaction it allowed with web resources. However, as a librarian/historian, I know those are likely to fail and therefore could lead to this text being less lasting over time. It was an interesting concept though. As for the story, it’s clear the main character has never taken the time to find herself. I think there is potential for the series to grow and expand with more interesting characters and character development and I’ll be on the look out for more from this series.”
Surprised Face with Open Mouth“This was a fun read since it discusses Pennsylvania Dutch, which I’m familiar with growing up in central PA! I ended up being suspicious of every character, which is how you know the mystery aspect is on point. There were times where I felt the plot was a little slow, but overall it was a great read and kept me on my toes until the veryyy end!”
Thinking Face“This book had a slow start and it took me a while to get into it. I'm not usually a fan of more modern books, but I thought the magic and psychology aspect was fresh and intriguing. The modern setting made it more difficult to disengage from real life, especially the University scenes. There is great character development and the characters are realistic and multifaceted, which I enjoyed. Overall a good read 😊”
Thumbs Up“Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. As I get older, I enjoy an older heroine living life and still not knowing how to do it sometimes! Weiss does a masterful job of making witchcraft, spells, and ghosts feel natural and a part of everyday life - and I LOVED the references to Penn Dutch lore (stories from my childhood). The interactiveness of the book made the story feel more intimate without being intrusive.”
