Leadership Sustainability: Seven Disciplines to Achieve the Changes Great Leaders Know They Must Make Reviews

“I am always looking for better ways to manage my business and when I saw that NetGalley was offering this book on leadership as a review copy, I jumped at the chance to read it. You can read some posts about the book below as I read through it. My Blog: http://www.dogberrypatch.com/?p=4655”
“The authors lay out their plans very early in LEADERSHIP SUSTAINABILITY, declaring the leadership and its impact on the rest of the company to be one of the most critical factors that determines the success of a business. While good intentions are always desirable, a leader must ultimately display measurable behaviors that can be observed by others in the company. While a tremendous amount of time, money, and research is spent detailing the qualities of a positive leadership and teaching these skills to pertinent individuals, the percentage of those who maintain these new traits over time is quite nominal. So, what does it take to really sustain a strong leadership? In LEADERSHIP SUSTAINABILITY, seven key factors are identified as those most critical to the task: - Simplicity - Time - Accountability - Resources - Tracking - Melioration - Emotion The chapters are simply laid out in an organized outline format, and the writing is concise and easy to understand as the authors give illustrations, examples, and research data to back their claims from start to finish. Additionally, the authors frequently refer to a website for additional resources, like videos and assessments that would definitely seem to lend a new dimension to the work (although I admit that I did not personally use the website in reviewing the book). I did enjoy this book and I think that this information could be quite easily understand and incorporated by even those of us who have little to no experience in the world of business. I appreciate the publisher allowing me to preview a copy of this work for the purposes of providing an honest review.”
