“This surprised me in that I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did.
Read so that I actually understand what’s going on when I go with my mum to a talk done by this author about this book next month. I wouldn’t have read it otherwise but I’m glad I did.
Didn’t take me long to get absorbed by this, I preferred the 1200’s POV but I still enjoyed the present day POV. A book that makes me research more about the history surrounding it is a rare thing but I am a lot more interested than I expected I would be. Not enough to continue the series, I’m happy with it as a standalone.”
