“This is my first Ishiguro book and won’t be the last.
The overall pacing was slow but very well written. I really enjoyed seeing this world through Kiara’s eyes. She made a great AF, and just so likeable. She’s very consistent, which I guess makes her stand out amongst the rest, who are humans.
While I understand her role, it does saddens me that Josie and everyone else was so quick to move on. This is comparable to a childhood toy that you once love, but one day you have friends, a life outside your home, and other dreams. I’m happy to say though my stuffy has been with me for years and I will never let it go (hah).”About Kazuo Ishiguro
KAZUO ISHIGURO was born in Nagasaki, Japan, in 1954 and moved to Britain at the age of five. His eight previous works of fiction have earned him many honors around the world, including the Nobel Prize in Literature and the Booker Prize. His work has been translated into over fifty languages, and The Remains of the Day and Never Let Me Go, both made into acclaimed films, have each sold more than 2 million copies. He was given a knighthood in 2018 for Services to Literature. He also holds the decorations of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from France and the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star from Japan.
